After teaching hundreds of players and building a vibrant Mahjong community, Greenwich Mahjong Club returns this spring with a thoughtfully designed 7-week Mahjong League.
This league blends organized play, light competition, and a welcoming social atmosphere. Players enjoy weekly league nights with a mix of tables — some offering more guided play and others designed for a smoother, faster pace — so everyone can settle into a rhythm that feels comfortable and fun.
We embrace both American and Chinese Mahjong, encourage consistent play, and create space for players to build confidence, sharpen strategy, and connect with others who love the game.

Our January session has just wrapped up, and the March session filled within days of opening. Due to overwhelming demand, April registration is now open — but seats are limited.
This 5-part series is designed for true beginners and those looking to refresh their foundation, offering clear instruction, guided play, and a welcoming learning environment that builds real confidence at the table.
Led by beloved instructor Jackie Moy, who has taught hundreds of players across Greenwich through libraries, adult education programs, country clubs, private home groups, and even the Museum of Chinese in America, this is the most trusted and thorough beginner American Mahjong program in town — where quality and value meet.
